Framed Bone Koru in MADINZ Presentation Box
In Maori design, the Koru has a dual meaning. It is commonly used in Maori art as a symbol of creation. It is also said to represent new life and in business, new beginnings and the strengthening of existing relationships.
You will notice the Koru is carved “clockwise”. Traditionally known as “sun wise circling”, it represents good luck. This is because to move sun wise is to be in harmony with the earth’s movement around the sun.
The twist is also a symbol for eternity like the circle of life which has no beginning or end.
