Bailer in MADINZ Presentation Box

The bailer known as (tatā, tīheru or tā wai) was beautifully carved. In canoe traditions, tribal members named their bailers in remembrance of the bailers used on the original voyaging canoes from Polynesia.

Waka (canoe) and everything associated with them are very scared to the Maori people.
